I've taken a bit of a break, but I think the holiday hangover is
fading. It has to, I have an 8 am class. That's early, but thanks to
Amp I can be rip roaring and ready in about eight swigs.
Let's talk football for a moment. Personally, I was pissed Green Bay
lost. I mean, who in there right mind would have guess Bret Favre would
have thrown a pick...in overtime...in a money game. I wouldn't have.
So, Eli Manning will pilot the New York Giants to Arizona where they
will attempt to dethrone Bill Belicheat and the Pats. I just hope Eli
shows up. He better...I don't like the patriots. I know, I know, it's
history and you have to respect what they did. Bullshit. I do realize
that going undefeated in this day and age is near impossible, but I
just can't stand that team. Call me partial to the 72' Dolphins and
Larry Czonka.
On the NCAA basketball front. Kansas State has actually decided to play
some basketball, too bad they'll lose Beasley to the draft before he's
ready to play pro. Don't even get me started on kids getting drafted.
KU and Memphis remain unbeaten. I don't know about everybody else, but
I'm ready for some Madness.
NASCAR is gearing up for the 08 season. Media week is wrapping up in
Charlotte as the hoards of journalists fight tooth and nail for that
huge story. Yes, we realize Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has moved to Hendrick
and yes we realize he's happy to be there and ready to go racing. Can
we maybe talk about something else? How about how the new car will
handle on the superspeedway at Daytona. If Talladega was any preview.
Bring it on.
In other tidbits. Roger Clemens just needs to find what hole McGwire is
hiding in and join him. Roger, you've done enough damage to your image.
You have great people coaching you but you just aren't getting it.
Imagine that.
Hopefully I'll have more insightful things to write soon.
