Pics and pieces...

I have decided that it might be beneficial to actually record things that my dad says. Some other idiot published a book - I wondered flat out, "why didn't I think of that?"

I have read snippets of said book, and while his dad is rude, crude, socially unfit and funny - my dad is way more philosophical. Ah, the things we ponder. In the meantime here are some photos to pass the time.

This is a photo of the Republic wall. This is the place where small town kids "leave their mark" on town. There a two walls like this - the other is just across the block. It's really a family tradition. There are several years painted on these two walls. We stole the paint and left our mark. I took the picture because who knows if the building will last another 11 years.

Proof it's a family affair. Not sure who the 08 art belongs too, but we claim the 01. South High doesn't really fit - but the cousins wanted to leave their mark too. The tree has grown over the other part of the 99 mark.

A stormy Saturday morning. Here's a shot down the street. This was before 8 a.m.

The storm is starting to roll in.

Across the wheat field, some of the clouds roll over the farm.

The first storm had just passed. It was a perfect arch - and so big I couldn't get the entire rainbow in one shot.

The elevator downtown and the storm behind it.

Right after the first round of storms. It's a little blurry, the wind was blowing hard - looking up main street. The graffiti walls are to the right. The other wall is on the side of the cafe, to the left.

The gas station at sunset, after the storm.

From the west edge of town. The storm has passed.

Same place, and image, different photo options.
