Vacation flashback...

It's the time of year I would love to be back in San Francisco. Racing is back in wine country, Gay Pride is gearing up on Castro Street, and the hustle and bustle of the city is at a peak.

I had the best time in the bay area, and it's been way to long since I have ventured west.

It's a beautiful place, and the culture is outstanding. In 2008 I took a journey out west to see the race at Sonoma and see one of the coolest people I know. It was my first "solo vacation" and this is the first year I haven't done something similar since figuring out it's completely okay for a solo gal to go somewhere fun all by herself.

Here are some pics from my trip back in the day, and two blogs from way back in the beginning stages of this blog (Trippin' and Adventures in boyland) that followed my adventures in San Francisco.

The bay area is amazing. So many people, so little space.

The downtown skyline, and a school or something that I think I saw in the Princess Diaries.
One of my favorite parts of the trip - the park. That's what broke people do, find fun.

You can't beat people watching. I had so much fun just chillin'.

We picked a nice place to just squat and catch up.

We hit up the track in Sonoma. Wine country view.

We had some great seats. This race I was there as a fan, before the writing gig.

I drove past the race track today and definitely missed it. Great day for racing. Not too hot, not too cold and totally sunny!

I need to get you back out here soon. It's a busy weekend out here. Miss ya lots!!
