Travel log: Orlando

Kissa...kissim...well, Mickey Mouse lives here, and that's all I got.

Travel fun is in full swing this week as we dodged blizzards and delayed flights, but we made it to the 2013 Commodity Classic in Kissimmee, Fla. For those of you not familiar with Commodity Classic it's he culmination of wheat, corn, sorghum, and soybeans. Not the crops, but the people and leadership that develop policy for each. This year U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack will give the keynote address. Surprising since Mr. Secretary believes rural America isn't relevant anymore, but I guess since rural America came to a major metro it's ok.

This year the HPJ team fires the blog back up and gets to work during the trade show. The editorial staff will be covering most of the meetings going on, and we'll also be meeting with some of our biggest national clients.

It's not necessarily a vacation for us. Sorry Mickey. Not this trip. At least running across a giant mute rat isn't in our plans. Then again eating at a cuban restaurant in Tampa wasn't in the plans either and that happened.

Let's just say we have to stay ready for an adventure-and we usually are.
