I'm back from the Four State Farm Show and it wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be. It was, boiling hot, but at the same time I got to meet and talk to many different people. That means it was fun, for me anyways.
I was able to visit the metro of Joplin, Mo and even got to do live radio. I was nervous, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. The KKOW intern interviewed me the first day and then some guy that does on air programming. He was actually really fun and the interview went really fast.
It was AM radio, so not that many people were probably listening...I bet I'd be surprised though.
Today was an interesting day to say the least. I was asked to complete a task that I wasn't really sure how to take. Global Warming is such a touch and go subject and to be quite honest I have NO idea how I really feel about it. I was asked to write a resolution regarding an organization not supporting the Global Warming Theory.
I really haven't done much research or even really paid attention to the subject. I just try to do my own part. You can be environmentally friendly without hugging a tree and I think I'm that kind of person. It was tough because they tell you in school that when your asked to write something controversial you should really look deep down and decide whether to write it or not.
Well, I wrote it. I only wrote it because I don't have a stance. I justified it because if I am neutral then I really don't have a belief, right?
Trying to be funny I simply turned in the piece and said, "If they like it I wrote it, if the don't I didn't."
As I sat down at my desk I remembered that nobody thinks I'm funny at my office, which, is a real stretch for me. Because that seldom happens to me. I at least have one person who finds me slightly amusing.
I hope I didn't just stir the shit pot.

I'm sure you did a great job and even if they don't think you're funny, they know you do good work.
