Day one is in the books. The 2010 NASCAR Media tour, sponsored by Sprint and hosted by the Charlotte Motor Speedway kicked off Monday and runs to Thursday afternoon. A busy week planned. Here are a few photo highlights from day one.
The opening event to the tour was a visit by Stewart-Haas Racing. Media members enjoyed delicious sponsor products like Tornado's, Oreo's and Ritz crackers. This is the 2010 Sprint Cup Series paint scheme for Ryan Newman's U.S. Army sponsored Chevrolet Impala.
A shot of the event start. The main principles and drivers come out for general media question and answers. Following this session each individual has breakout sessions.

A shot of the new and improved seating that will be installed on the frontstretch of CMS. The seating will be 25 percent larger and season ticket holders who purchase new seats will have the opportunity to take the old seating. The newly purchased seats will also be labeled with the fans name, and date which they joined the Victory Lane Club - the season ticket holder club at CMS.
Fans were involved Monday afternoon. Victory Lane members of CMS were in attendance for the announcement of the new seats. Following the announcement Joe Gibbs signed copies of his new book for all fans in attendance and they were given pace car rides around CMS. The pace cars were piloted by Joe Gibbs Racing drivers - including Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano and new comer Matt DiBenedetto.
I will try and continue to post a few highlight pictures each day. I'm off to an early morning breakfast with the AFLAC duck!
