Media Tour Tuesday...

Day two of the NASCAR Sprint Media Tour hosted by the Charlotte Motor Speedway is in the books. Today's highlights are below. I have more pictures, but these were just a few.

The biggest event was a ride along. I had to sign and waiver and wear a helmet - so it was cool. I had the opportunity to ride in a Roush Mustang GT, performance muscle car folks, on the road course at Charlotte Motor Speedway. My driver was Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. and let me tell you this, I'm glad the kid races dirt. It was insane. We were up to 130 mph as we made our way to the big track. What a rush.

The final stop on the tour tonight was the Hall of Fame and then a hospitality trip to Whisky River. More swag - fun times. I drank a Sweet Carolina Girl - which is Bacardi Peach, Amaretto, Orange Amp and Grenadine. It was actually quite tasty.

On to the photo highlights.

The opening event of the day, a breakfast with AFLAC. The ducks on the table were the highlight, as was the free fescue seed.

The second stop (RCR was the first) Richard Petty Motorsports. Unfortunately King Richard was not able to attend. Bummer.

Lunch with the Wood Brothers, Bill Elliott and that guy from Extenze...which, by the way, they gave away. I did not partake in those freebies.

The Hall of Fame exclusive peek at the construction. One of the nicest dinners I have ever had. That is an actual ice sculpture. There were also ice sculptures on the table as centerpieces.

A peek at the construction of the new NASCAR Hall of Fame, opening May 11, 2010.

Holy crap! That is amazing! The ride-along sounds awesome. I can only imagine. The closest I've been is a drunken friend who should not have been going so fast through a field. But this really sounds cool. No comparison. And the drink.... well, needless to say, I'll need to try making that. Your whole week sounds amazing! Keep up the posts! And loving the pictures!!! Just look how far you've come!!
