I've been everywhere...

Nye's Bar in Minneapolis. True. Dive.
In the last month I've covered a lot of miles. I feel like I've been all over the place and I wondered just how many miles one person covered in just 42 days.

Here's how it broke down:
  • In my truck - 3,273 miles
  • Public transportation - 60 miles
  • Airplanes - 6,591 miles
Add that all up and I've covered 9,924 miles. The best part is that we're just getting started! In two weeks I'll return to the KARL Program for year two of my leadership training. We'll be heading to Dallas/Fort Worth to spend some time with BNSF railroad and their corporate management team. This is something I'm pretty excited about, and we'll be crammed in a charter bus (32 of us) for about eight hours down and about eight hours back, and that's not counting the time we'll be meandering around the area via large bus. Let's just say we'll get a half preview of our trip in March to South Africa. We will either really like each other, or a few of us may be hitching rides back home with truckers.

Maybe there will be beer. We can only hope. I digress.

In 42 days I've been to Chicago, Phoenix, Minneapolis (twice), and Milwaukee. I've been all over the state of Kansas from border to border. I have also gotten to know the bus driver at Kansas City's airport. The third trip I took in three weeks he actually smiled and said, "you again, how are you?"

I've been cheese shopping in Wisconsin, softball score keeping in Mound City, bale hauling and harvesting back home, one golf tournament, and jammed to two concerts in Manhattan. That's not counting all the other stops along the way.

I wanted to share a few photos from my travels or click here if you aren't a Flickr user, and hopefully I'll have even more as we get into the busy season.

Yes, that's right. This is not even my busiest time of year. That comes in January and February!
