Maybe our plane will look like this!? (South African Airways) |
I've started counting down and in less than 30 days I'll be headed out on my first international adventure with KARL Class XII. I'll be really honest and say I've only thought about packing a tiny bit. I have a few things laid out, and I've been pinning some packing tips, but that's about it.
It's going to be here before we know it!
I've done some prep work and mapped out our trip. This is our tentative itinerary. I'm certain it will change, but at least it gives us an idea of some of the cool things we'll be seeing and doing.
I've been asked if I'm excited or worried, and to be honest I can't tell you either because I haven't really thought about it. What I am excited about is the adventure. I'm not exactly a thrill seeker, so this will be good for me. I'll be off the grid for days, and I like the thought of that!
I'll be trying to post photos and blogs on the journey where I can. We're told internet is OK, and sometimes like dial-up, but I'll do my best.
To view the places we'll go, mouse over the map and a hand will show up and you can move it around. The days are color coded, and the legs are shape coded. For example, drops are leg one and each color is a day within the leg of the trip, circles are leg two...and so on. I have also added a little description where I could, so if you click on the marker it should show up. You can also click the box in the lower left hand corner and it will change the type of map from simple to one with a satellite view.
