Ann Arbor is crying, East Lansing is laughing. That’s right, it’s Michigan football. Many football fans had Michigan on the top, the team that was going to win it all. Two weeks later they’ve fallen out of the top 25. No championship this year Wolverine fans.
The mountaineers of Appalachian State rolled over the no. 5 team in the nation, Michigan. They didn’t just beat them, they schooled them. The final score, 34-32 looks close, but believe me Michigan got embarrassed, humiliated, and made sports writers everywhere toss their picks in the trash. The mountaineers pulled off the biggest upset in college football history.
If the loss to Appalachian State wasn’t bad enough the next week wasn’t much better. The Wolverines were looking to silence the critics after falling from a no. 5 ranking out of the top 25. They didn’t do much silencing as they welcomed the ducks from Oregon and the ducks waddled all over the Wolverines. Feathers didn’t fly; the fur did as Oregon slapped the Wolverines with their 2nd straight loss in a 39-7 showing. At least Michigan scored.
This just proves that pre-season hype is just that, hype. Don’t ever believe the rankings that come out before the games start playing because there is always one team in the top 25 that is overrated. One team can ruin a pre-season office pool and fans everywhere go into depression. Maybe the folks in Ann Arbor should invest in some Prozac, because it’s going to be a long season in Ann Arbor.

"OVER-RATED"
AH! Just like being back in school!
Haha, that's going to be a great game Saturday. 0-2 Notre Dame against 0-2 Michigan. I think you summed up the feelings of the entire country. I thought Michigan was going to make the championship game this year.
