When it comes to media my mind is constantly in the gutter and I have a great Washburn University professor to thank for that. In her editing class she simply stated, "you better put your mind in the gutter when you edit because if you don't, someone else will."
You always have to stay a step ahead of people in that aspect because it doesn't take much to make Leno with a few misplaced words.
I had one of those moments today.I had to snicker at the CNN coverage of the Inauguration. I know, I know call me immature because at this moment it's exactly what I am. On the bottom of the inaugural parade coverage it lists what is upcoming as far as future programming. It says NOW - President Obama watches parade (which is riveting television), NEXT - Former President Bush lands in Texas (more incredibly entertaining programming) and then LATER - Inaugural Balls.
That just sounds wrong. I know it's probably the 'correct' way to say it, but come on. They could have just said inaugural ball or formal inaugural celebration...but balls?
Immature folks everywhere (especially stoners - "dude that says...balls") are giggling all across the country.
Youth may pass, but immaturity lasts a lifetime!
